This richly layered and action-packed film chronicles the adventures of a troubled urban youth when he is sent to New Mexico after a near-fatal run-in with the law. There, the boy, his cousin, and a friend rebuild a motorcycle for a local competition.
In one dynamic summer, the boys grow into young men and face challenges they never imagined. An aggressive local hotshot, a complex young vixen, and a host of other conflicts test their values and their mettle. The final exam is in the gladiator's arena of extreme motocross. Overcoming all obstacles, the boys are forged into young men as they prepare for, and ultimately win, the big extreme sport event.
